Delete your allnoos account

This page is for the allnoos app, made by allnoos LLC. One account covers the app and the website, so deleting it removes it from both. The account is hidden as soon as you confirm and deleted for good 30 days later. Signing in before then and choosing Restore my account brings it back; after that there is no undo.

Delete it yourself

  • In the app. Open your profile, tap the three-dot button and choose Control Room. Under Account, tap Delete Account.

The delete screen lists what goes and what stays. Type your username to confirm: the account is hidden at once and you are signed out.

If you cannot sign in

Write to support@allnoos.com from the email address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. The same applies if you have not agreed to the current terms and so cannot reach the delete screen. We reply to that address with what the delete screen would tell you, and your reply confirming the request is your confirmation. We then delete it at once, unless you ask for the same 30 days to change your mind.

What is deleted

  • Your profile, handle, photo and bio.
  • Your stories, and the photos and video in them.
  • Your comments, likes, follows and story credits.
  • Your Gather messages and group memberships.
  • Your notifications, promos and bounties.

All of it disappears from view the moment you confirm and is removed from allnoos 30 days later; the copies our providers and backups hold are deleted within 30 days after that. A link to a photo or video that someone saved earlier keeps working until the files are removed, and a photo someone opened just before can keep loading from a delivery cache for a short while, until that cache expires. Stories other reporters published that credit or quote you stay up; they are their work, not yours.

Credits are forfeited

Credits left in the account are forfeited when the deletion completes. Credits have no cash value, and during early access every balance is simulated. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play; cancel it there first.

What is kept

These records outlive the account. Nothing here expires on its own.

  • Accounting records of money that moved through your wallet, including transfers you started. They are financial records, so they stay, with the wallet closed and unlinked from you.
  • Withdrawal requests that were already paid or rejected, unlinked the same way.
  • Reports you filed about other people's stories, comments, arcs or accounts, kept as a record, with your name off.
  • Moderation findings about your stories, comments, arcs and account, and copyright notices about your work, with your name off. The text a finding was about stays with it when a review took down a comment or cleared part of your profile. A copyright notice or counter-notice you filed yourself is kept as you filed it, with the name and contact details the law required it to carry. A finding about a story stays so that the same text published again brings it back.
  • The records of which version of the terms and the reporter's accord you agreed to, of your agreement to allnoos sharing your material with Gemini (Google's AI) and any withdrawal of it, and when, kept with an identifier for the account as evidence.
  • Records other people share with you, with your name off: Gather groups you opened, bounties you claimed from someone else, event listings you contested, and notifications other people received about something you did.

When deletion has to wait

Only for what cannot simply be discarded: earnings we owe you, a pending withdrawal request, a bounty you posted that is still funded or one you claimed that is unsettled, or a legal hold. The delete screen, or our reply, says which. Once it is settled you can delete from the screen, or we finish a deletion you asked for by email. If one of these comes up during the 30 days, the account stays hidden and is deleted once it is settled.

Deleting less than the account

You can delete any of your stories yourself without deleting the account. A story can't be deleted while a report that a child is at risk is being checked, or while a finding that it may involve a child waits for us. For anything narrower, such as the files behind a story you already deleted, email support@allnoos.com from the address on the account and say what you want gone.

The full detail is in the privacy policy and section 17 of the terms. Anything else: support.
